The camping kitchen tables market is very crowded and it can be tough to distinguish between all the low cost options out there. We’ve found that a camping table and chairs that are made from some sort of fabric aren’t that useful and don’t hold up all that well over the long haul. That’s why the Outdoor Compact Table from Coleman takes our best budget spot on this list. It’s got a sturdy, steel frame design with an aluminum top yet it still has an affordable price tag at right around $35-$45. It’s super lightweight, easily fits in most trunks and can accommodate four people sitting around it. We’ve found that it can easily hold around 100 pounds so no worries if your portable grill is a little on the heavier side. Overall, it’s just a solid foldable camping table – no bells and whistles – but it will get the job done. Just throw on a camping tablecloth and you’re good to go!
The GCI Outdoor Slim Fold Cook Station might just be the best portable camping kitchen table / camping kitchen stand out there. It’s constructed with a powder-coated steel frame and has an aluminum counter top. But perhaps the best thing about this table is all the extras. It comes with four fold-out side tables, which can be used to hold or hang beverages, garbage bags, paper towels and utensils. Further it has a convenient storage rack below to hold additional camping gear. It folds up surprisingly small (21″ x 4″ x 35″) and weighs less than 20 pounds. Now on the downside, it’s not as nice as others to sit around and eat when you fold down the side tables. For that reason, it’s probably best used as a cooking station or serving table. Either way, there’s a lot to like about this table – there’s just a ton of different things it can do for you.
The Magicook Table is similar to the GCI camping kitchen table above but features a slightly different design. It too has side tables and a storage rack underneath but where this table differs is in its hooks. It has a pole that extends off one of the legs 70 inches high with 6 hooks attached. So not only can you use the hooks for hanging camping utensils, trash bags, etc. but also for hanging wet clothes, shoes, lanterns, etc. The other thing we like is that the table top is solid so it can easily be used as a cutting board and then on top of that it’s also removable if you would just rather place your portable grill in the main section instead. So it’s kind of nice that the table can serve multiple purposes. It folds up pretty small and comes with a convenient carrying case as well. At right around $80-$90, it’s a solid mid-range option.
Having ample storage and staying organized is key when camping and the Camp Chef Sherpa Table definitely delivers in that aspect. It comes with an aluminum roll table-top and the legs are extendable so you can always find the perfect cooking/eating height. Now what’s especially nice about this table is that it comes with four removable bags (12″ x 11″ x 7″) for keeping organized that can be stored underneath the table top. Further, one of the bags is a cooler and can be used to keep your food cold. You could always just remove two of the bags and instead store a portable BBQ giving you plenty of transportation options. Lastly, there are handles on the sides of the organizer making it east to lift and haul around. Overall, it’s one of the best camping tables out there if you are in need of extra storage. Now all you need is camping tableware and camping chairs!
