Hands-down one of the best running shoe available. Incredibly comfortable and the energy return is insane.
The adidas Ultra Boost Running Shoes are killer running shoes with an incredibly comfortable, flexible, and breathable upper. They also have our favorite cushioning, the Boost foam. We’ve seen it on prior shoes, but it really put adidas back in the running shoe game. It has tremendous energy return and impact absorption. You really have to try the Boost foam. It’s slightly different on the Ultra Boosts, but I think it’s even better than on other adidas shoes.
On the downside with these shoes, the laces don’t go far enough down your foot and the heel does slip sometimes. And because there’s no tongue on these shoes, the laces can cause some pressure points, necessitating that you re-tie/re-adjust your shoes toward the beginning of your run. The other thing we don’t love with the Ultra Boosts is the price tag. MSRP is $180. Nuts.
At the end of the day, however, if you can stomach the price tag, the Ultra Boosts are really awesome running shoes and are among the best out there.
