EasyAcc Battery Charger Case for iPhone XS/X: Overview
With the amount that everyone today relies on their phone, portable chargers are a given. Between emails, text messages, social media work, and the very necessary GPS, we bet you’re left with more day than battery life on your phone. The EasyAcc charging case not only keeps your phone juiced up, but protects your phone, as well.
What You Can Expect From The EasyAcc Phone Case
This is a 5000mAh battery case that uses a USB Type-C cable or Qi Wireless Pad for charging. It will also come with a tempered glass screen protector and a kit for easy and correct application, meaning you avoid those annoying air bubbles on your screen. This case is also IP55 certified, which means it’s water and sweat proof.
This case is available on Amazon and comes with Amazon Prime, so that it can ship to you at no charge.
The EasyAcc charging case also comes with an 18-month warranty.
Design of the EasyAcc Charge Case
This is a very masculine and straightforward looking case; no frills. It’s drop-proof and shock-proof with a raised bumper edge. The frame is made with soft rubber, so it has a nice, luxurious feel to it. The edge of the frame has a raised lip on the front, so that even if you place your phone face down or drop it, the lip keeps the phone screen from touching any surfaces.
We think this case feels and looks more expensive than it is. We really like that EasyAcc offers 360 degree protection by adding in a tempered glass screen protector. You don’t have to worry about any drops, bumps, or scratches.
The design of this case leaves the lightning port at the bottom of your phone open, which we really like. This leaves it available for lightning headphones, an iTunes data sync, Apple carplay, and more.
When holding the case itself, we were surprised by how light it felt. The weight became more apparent when we added in the iPhone, but it was nothing that we couldn’t get used to. We also found that the case fit very securely around the iPhone, so that we never felt like it would easily come off or that any part of our phone was exposed.
What we did have trouble with was removing the phone from the case. Considering this is a big, bulky case, we don’t always want it on because it’s hard to slip seamlessly into our pockets, small purses, etc.. We wish it was easier to take on and off, considering how bulky it is.
Battery Life & Charging
EasyAcc states that this case can double your battery life. The 5000 mAh battery can support an additional 13 hours of internet, 14 hours of video, 22 hours of call time, and 60 hours of audio.
The case supports both wireless and wired charging. It’s fully compatible with Qi and other wireless charging methods, and you can charge the case and phone simultaneously on a wireless charge pad. Keep in mind, if you’re in a hurry and need a faster charge, go with the USB-C cable.
This case is also potentially a mini portable power bank. Other than charging the intended iPhone X/XS through wireless charging or cable, you can (in theory) charge other devices that are USB-C compatible or charge other iPhones using a USB Type-C to Lightning cable.
When you’re using the case to charge the phone wirelessly, it will take about 3 to 3.5 hours, which we don’t consider a fast charge.
As of when we’re posting this review (Jan 14, 2019) the case is selling for $39.99 on Amazon, which we find affordable considering all that this case offers.
EasyAcc Battery Charger: Conclusion
To sum it up, we think this is a great case for the price. It can double your phone’s battery life, offers full protection for your phone, and leaves the lightning port accessible. Our only complaints were that it’s a little too bulky to fit comfortably in our pockets, and is also hard to remove from the phone.
If you don’t mind a bulky phone case, we say go for it.
